As its name implies, Momentum is an effort to provide youth groups with momentum for the next year. Essentially, this program is a local mission trip that allows middle school and high school students to complete service projects and minister to kids — experiences which facilitate unity among the teenagers themselves.

Building into the campers is a focus, but intentional times of biblical teaching are also part of the core of Momentum. These sessions and the vast majority of the programming is run by King’s Domain staffers so youth group leaders can focus their time and energy on discipling and caring for their students in hopes of deepening relationships that last well beyond the week spent on camp property.

Momentum students are expected to be leaders, taking ownership of their experience and playing an integral part in the ministry that occurs at King’s Domain. In the end, they are responsible for fostering community within their youth group and for loving the campers in a way that effectively demonstrates the love of Christ. However, as the teenagers pour out, college students from across the nation pour into them, mentoring and supporting them.
