Summary
Responsible for caring for young children by keeping them safe, playing games and developing their character and self-esteem
Primary duties
- Be an example of Christ in word and deed and when no one is looking
- Work with parents for any care-taking specifics
- Be knowledgeable of all allergies and tendencies for the children
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies
- Keep children safe physically, emotionally, and spiritually
- Work within the given childcare schedule
Minimum requirements
- High school diploma
- 18 years of age or older
- American Red Cross CPR child and infant Certification
- Basic first aid knowledge
Abilities required
- Understanding facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures
- Decision-making
- Lifting 40 pounds regularly
